Enchanted Wild Garden
Our #MZBride of the week is the absolutely beautiful Fiona Parcharidis who got married in our custom Limka gown with matching drapped sleeves and veil. Surrounded by their friends & Family, the couple held their gorgeous wedding at The Clifton in Charlottesville, Virgina. In the following interview, Fiona shares with us how she started planning her wedding journey and will give you her exclusive tips!
How did you start planning your wedding? What were the first steps?
Quickly after we got engaged, I started meeting with wedding planners. I had a clear vision for our wedding day and was looking for the right team to bring it to life. I’m so lucky to have found that and more with @gritandgraceinc, an incredibly talented female-founded and led wedding planning and design team. They were a dream to collaborate with.
How did you know your dress was 'the one’?
I knew instantly that Limka was the one for me. As soon as I tried the dress on, I could picture myself walking down the aisle. It was meant to be. And the matching veil completed the look so perfectly.
How did you find working with the bridal store team?
Funny enough, I reached out to a ton of bridal stores in NY, CT and DC to see who had a sample of the Limka gown because it was on trunk show. Luckily, I found a store who had the sample for one day and immediately went in to try it on. They said it was their quickest bridal appointment yet :)
3 advices that you would give to our future brides?
1. Your energy sets the tone for the day! Have fun and enjoy everyone who came to celebrate you. If you and your partner are dancing… everyone is dancing too! 2. Do what feels right for you and your partner. You want your wedding to be a reflection of the two of you– it’s okay to break tradition! 3. Be present and put away your cell phone for the weekend. Everyone you love is already with you.
What was your wedding theme?
Enchanted wild garden. We wanted our guests to feel like they were walking through a secret garden with romantic, overgrown and organic arrangements. Florals were a constant throughout– from the invitations to the ceremony cocktails to the vintage floral china.
